S.A.M.B.A. :
Systems Approach to Maladaptive Behaviour & Antisociality
Welcome! Here you can find information about Dr. Inti Brazil's scientific work. His main interest is studying (mal)adaptive behavior and decision-making and their link to psychopathic/antisocial tendencies in community and offender samples. To achieve this, he examines and tries to integrate multiple levels of description by combining behavioral methods, electrophysiology, s/fMRI, and computational modeling. His current projects and collaborations are primarily focused on:
- how personality constructs are related to cognitive control, affective processing and social decision-making
- reinforcement-based learning and decision-making in healthy and offender populations with psychopathic tendencies
- developing and applying Bayesian algorithms that fuse large sets of neurocognitive data to capture hidden sources of individual differences
- how hostility biases are acquired
- the biological and cognitive correlates of mind-body interventions in special populations
